Northern Illinois University senior tight end Greg DeLuca tries to catch two balls thrown his way Friday during football practice at Huskie Stadium.

The Northern Illinois season opener against Buffalo will be broadcast at 6 p.m. on Nov. 4 on ESPN, according to a release from the network on Monday.

The Huskies game on Nov. 11 against Central Michigan will air on ESPNU at 7 p.m.

For the rest of the regular season, game times and broadcast networks will be announced 12-13 days in advance with nearly all of the Tuesday and Wednesday #MACtion games slated for broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or CBS Sports Network.

Once league teams transition to Saturday games beginning on November 28, games will be on one of the ESPN platforms or on CBS Sports Network.

NIU is no stranger to the television cameras with seven games on an over-the-air network a year ago and 10 in 2018. The Huskies are 24-11 all-time on ESPN2, including a 1-1 mark last season, and have a 12-9 record on ESPNU.
