SYCAMORE – Though the Kishwaukee Family YMCA’s doors have closed temporarily, the Y is still here for DeKalb County. YMCA members and the greater community can access virtual workouts through their website, kishymca.org.
YMCA 360 is a new online community designed to help participants stay connected and active, even when they can’t visit the Y. The free, on-demand programs available at YMCA360.org, include popular group exercise classes such as boot camp, barre, yoga and low-impact programs. The Y plans to release more exercise classes for adults, as well as youth activities and classes throughout April.
MOSSA classes are also being offered free over the next 60 days, so members can enjoy their favorite YMCA classes from anywhere. These 30-minute workouts are more intense and similar to programming such as Group Power, Group Active, Group Core, Group Ride and more. Those interested can sign up for a free 60-day trial and can access the link through the Kishwaukee Family YMCA website.
Life Fitness and the YMCA have partnered to deliver “Workouts of the Day,” delivered through Digital Coach at no cost during this time. This program offers a new video workout of the day that provides participants with a daily challenge, physical activity and helps people stay in shape until they are able to return to the Y.
Silver Sneakers On-Demand features a wide variety of videos specifically designed for people aged 65 and older.
Silver Sneakers members get access to an exclusive video library of workouts, wellness videos and exercise programs designed by Silver Sneaker instructors.
