Prep roundup: Pair of Timberwolves score 28 each in Indian Creek victories

Indian Creek coasted to a 60-29 victory over LaMoile-Ohio on Thursday.

Brooke Heiman almost outscored the Timberwolves' opponent, scoring 28 to lead all scorers. Audrey Witte scored 9, as did Brooke Probst.

Knights win low-scoring game: Kaneland edged Morris, 26-23, as Delaney Sheehan's eight points led the Knights.

Hawks drop one: Hiawatha suffered a 51-20 loss to Serena.

Newark bests Royals: Newark defeated Hinckley-Big Rock 57-30.

Ashleigh Wackerlin led the Royals with 10 points.

BOYS BASKETBALL

IC downs Stillman: Indian Creek's Cooper Larsen scored in bunches, posting 28 points as the Timberwolves defeated Stillman Valley, 68-51.

Michael Lampson scored 15 points for IC. Cam Russell had nine points and six assists. Drew Gaston had eight points and five assists. Brennen McNally grabbed 11 rebounds for the Timberwolves.

PREP WRESTLING

Knights wrap up Reapers: Kaneland handily defeated Plano, 62-12.

Caden Grabowski, Grant Baldridge, Cole Olsen, Christian Duffing, Alex Johnston and Jack Yore all won by fall for the Knights. Jacob Gossett and Ade Sanni won by major decision. Miles Ripper, Nate Diaz and Diego Serriteno each grabbed wins by decision.

GIRLS BOWLING

Kaneland falls to Cavs: LaSalle-Peru defeated the Knights, 2,846-2,754.

Alexis Vittal posted the high series of 593 and had a high game of 235. Anastasia Workman bowled a high game of 191.
