DeKalb County Convention and Visitors Bureau celebrates new office

The Sycamore, DeKalb, Genoa and Sandwich chambers of commerce held a business after- hours event and joint ribbon-cutting on Jan. 9 to celebrate the new location of the DeKalb County Convention & Visitors Bureau. The organization moved its offices to the DeKalb County Community Outreach Building, 2500 N. Annie Glidden Road, Suite F, in DeKalb. The mission of the DCCVB is to generate economic impact and promote DeKalb County as a premier destination for business and leisure travel. The DCCVB serves as the first point of contact for meeting planners, sports tournament directors, tour operators, special event planners and leisure travelers. Marketing, advertising, and promotional efforts are focused 50 miles outside the bureau’s region to attract new dollars and new business, which results in a positive impact on economic development.
