DeKALB – After a weekend snowstorm that was less storm than expected, DeKalb County is once again under a winter weather advisory, according to National Weather Service.

The advisory could affect the Wednesday morning commute, so drivers should use caution.

The winter storm is in effect from 4 a.m. until noon Wednesday, with freezing drizzle expected and total ice accumulations up to a few hundredths of an inch.

Including DeKalb County, the advisory affects much of the region including Lee and northern La Salle counties.

Residents could see slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges and drivers are encouraged to slow down while traveling on untreated surfaces.
