First National Bank supports local FFA chapters

DeKALB – First National Bank is investing in the future of agriculture by donating to eight local FFA chapters in Illinois, according to a news release.

The bank is donating a total of $2,500 to the following FFA chapters: DeKalb, Harvard, Hinckley-Big Rock, Indian Creek, Newark, Rochelle, Somonauk-Leland-Sandwich and Sycamore.

First National Bank’s contribution is part of its broader efforts to celebrate National Agriculture Week and will help provide positive educational experiences for the students enrolled in agricultural education in Illinois. First National Bank and its affiliates are among the largest Agribusiness lenders in the country.

“We’re proud to support the agriculture industry and join in FFA's mission of developing premier leadership, personal growth and career success for the next generation of farmers,” Stan Free, Illinois market president, said in the release.

First National Bank also is donating to the Nebraska FFA Foundation, Colorado FFA Foundation and local FFA chapters in South Dakota.
