SYCAMORE – Nonprofit registration is now open for Give DeKalb County 2019. This 24-hour fundraising event will take place May 2.

During this giving day, donors can support nonprofit organizations by making donations online or in-person at the DeKalb County Community Foundation.

Give DeKalb County is coordinated by the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership, a program of the community foundation. The previous five giving days combined have raised more than $1.8 million for participating nonprofit organizations.

A bonus pool of funds is being raised and each donation made during Give DeKalb County is boosted by a percentage of these bonus funds.

The bonus pool is made possible from the generous support of community partners, including: DCCF, The Suter Co., State Farm – Keicher Insurance Agency, First Midwest Bank, Morningstar Media Group, Thrivent Financial – Shawn Blobaum, Heartland Bank and Trust Co., The Chulick Family Fund, Paul Callighan, Cathy Doederlein, Scott and Kristin Miller, Dan and Kathy Schewe, and Lynne Waldeland.

Participating nonprofits must be 501(c)(3) organizations located in and/or serving DeKalb County that are legally registered with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office and 2019 DCNP members by March 1.

The deadline to register for Give DeKalb County as a participating organization is March 31. Online registration and additional details are available at givedekalbcounty.org.

For information about becoming a community partner or media sponsor, or for general questions, contact DCNP Director Ben Bingle at 815-748-5383 or ben@dekalbccf.org.
