DeKALB – When Northern Illinois steps onto the floor at Ohio University’s Convocation Center to start its Mid-American Conference slate Saturday, it will be in search of its first road conference win since Feb. 21, 2017, after finishing last season without a conference win on the road.
“Ohio, I think they have one of the best crowds in the MAC,” NIU senior forward Levi Bradley said. “A game like Michigan State is preparing us to go into a hostile environment and try to steal a win. If we can steal a win on the road, that’d be great. If we can steal two, that’d be an even greater way to start MAC play.”
Both Ohio (8-4, 7-0 at home), and Miami on Tuesday (8-5, 6-0 at home), present a challenge for an NIU (7-6 overall) squad looking for a strong start to conference play.
