MAPLE PARK – Tucker Jahns celebrated senior night Thursday by making it his night, breaking the single-season record for goals in a season as Kaneland beat up on Yorkville, 7-3, in the Northern Illinois Big 12 East Conference finale for both teams.
Jahns scored four goals to give him 29 on the season, passing the mark of 28 that was set in 2004.
“We haven’t been offensive too much this year so scoring has been tough,” Jahns said. “Teams know my name and I’ve realized that the minute I do something they tell their coach. I know they’re marking me and I just need to figure out ways so they don’t know what I’m doing.”
