SYCAMORE – Firefighters continue to investigate a fire that caused about $40,000 in damages to a Sycamore home.
Firefighters were called to 974 W. State St., Sycamore, just after 6 p.m. Wednesday. They were able to get the fire under control in about 30 minutes, according to a news release from Sycamore Fire Chief Peter Polarek.
The fire appears to have started in the area of a second-floor bedroom and hallway. Damage from the fire is estimated to be about $40,000 to the property and contents, according to the release.
No one was injured in the fire.
The Sycamore Fire Department was assisted crews from DeKalb, Cortland, Hinckley and Genoa.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
