SHABBONA – There was nothing the Genoa-Kingston boys basketball team could do when Indian Creek center Garrison Govig caught the ball deep in the post early in Wednesday’s game.
The Sycamore-DeKalb gymnastics co-op team tied Glenbard West for second place (144.875) and was 1.5 points behind Glenbard North in the Glenbard North Sectional on Wednesday night, but only two points were deducted when all four Barbs fell on the balance beam.

Sycamore's Tony O'Donnell finished in 51st place at the boys state bowling tournament in O'Fallon. O'Donnell knocked down 2,434 pins for the state tournament, with a high game Saturday of 246.
STERLING – Too bad their coach wasn't around to see it, because DeKalb put on quite a performance, especially in the opening minutes Saturday night.

DeKalb guard broke nose three weeks ago
One point guard in today’s matchup between the DeKalb and Sycamore girls basketball teams is lightning-quick. The other is strong and methodical. One will swipe the ball from offensive players and the other will wear down opponents on the defensive end.
Andre Harris knew what section he sat in four years ago when he watched DeKalb play Sycamore at the Convocation Center.
