Flowers can brighten your home for the summer

SPONSORED

If you are looking for an easy way to change up your home’s decor this summer, head to the nearest garden center or hobby shop.

That’s because flowers, whether real or faux, can do wonders for making a room pop.

And summer blooms, such as marigolds, peonies, daffodils, sunflowers, daisies, are especially bright and colorful.

In the kitchen, a pitcher, Mason jar or even a teacup can be repurposed as a vase to display a floral arrangement. Set it on the island, countertop or kitchen table to perk up your decor.

Transform a dining room with the addition of a colorful centerpiece. But keep the height of the arrangement in mind. Make sure sightlines are clear so guests don’t feel like they have to move the flowers around in order to have a conversation.

Brighten up the living room by setting a small vase of colorful flowers on the coffee table or end table.

An often overlooked place for flowers is the bathroom. But even a small arrangement can do wonders for refreshing the space and creating a spa-like atmosphere. A flowering plant that needs a lot of sunshine is ideal for the bathroom windowsill. Glass jars can be used as vases to display a decorative artificial arrangement or individual stems on the countertop or the back of the toilet.

Freshen up the look of your bedroom by displaying flowers on an end table or dresser. Choose a color scheme that matches the space.

In the entryway, floral arrangements are an easy way to bring interest to the area. Consider displaying a tall vase of long-stemmed flowers for a more minimal look.
