Genoa expo attracts businesses and residents

GENOA – Representatives from several local businesses and organizations spent a portion of their weekend meeting with potential clients and customers.

Deadline for agricultural programs is June 1

SPRINGFIELD – Scherrie V. Giamanco, state executive director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency in Illinois, announced today that she wishes to remind producers that June 1 is the deadline to sign up for the 2010 Average Crop Revenue Election Program and the Direct and Counter-cyclical Program.

NIU child care benefits from grant program

SPRINGFIELD – Northern Illinois University’s Campus Child Care received $78 recently as part of a grant program to support the installation of a prairie patch and butterfly garden.

Giannoulias to help students with drawing

Illinois State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias will give away up to $10,000 to students in kindergarten through eighth grade in a “Win Money for College” random drawing, according to a recent news release.
