Looking for a good, inexpensive used car? Good luck. Over the past two years, 8 million fewer used cars entered the market than average, according to the National Auto Auction Association and the National Automobile Dealers Association. The shortage led to rising used car prices throughout 2009, surpassing previous peak prices, NADA economist Paul Taylor said.
