New football roster

The 2009 Northern Illinois football roster is out and here are a few notable things.

Defensive end Jason Cruikshank is no longer with the team. From a physical standpoint he likely would not have been cleared to play. There are a few new names, including running back Cameron Bell, who was at Iowa State. Also, quarterback Tommy Coughlin, wide receiver Riley O'Toole and RB/DB Furqan Muhammad are among the new names.

Freshman defensive lineman Zach Anderson is now wearing No. 51, which was Larry English's number. Defensive end Sean Jackson has dropped Progar from his name on the official roster.
