NIU women’s basketball falls to Ball State

Northern Illinois women’s basketball lost to Ball State, 63-50, at home Sunday.

NIU (8-13, 4-7 Mid-American Conference) shot 7 of 11 from beyond the arc and Danny Pulliam led the Huskies with 11 points, including three 3-pointers.

“We were very aggressive offensively to start the game, then we stood around too much until we came out in the second half with a great amount of energy,” NIU coach Kathi Bennett said. “We just needed to play that way for 40 minutes, instead of 20.”

NIU will play at Buffalo on Saturday at 11 a.m.
