Letters: Veterans experience could help students understand
To the editor:
DeKalb County veterans are sought to share their experience with our young people at Sycamore High School.
Please join us for a Veteran's Day Observance on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 7:30 a.m. at the flag pole in front of the school and join our color guard as we lower the flag to half-staff. Then join us in the cafeteria at 8 a.m. and enjoy book displays, veterans archival displays and musical performances by the choir and string ensemble.
Our event is focused on bringing our young people and our honored veterans together so that they can listen to our veterans share their experience and better understand the role our veterans played and continue to play in obtaining the freedom our country enjoys today.
