WIM to hear about "color" spectrum communications
By DAILY CHRONICLE

DeKalb County Chapter of Women in Management's monthly luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 10 at Johnny’s Charhouse, Sycamore.
Guest speaker Donna R. Martin will discuss “True Colors” and ask participants “What Color Are Your Glasses?”
Martin feels “True Colors” is a simple model of personality identification for people of all ages that improves communication through recognition of a person’s “true character.” As a result of this presentation, attendees will learn the “color” spectrum and how they influence communication skills with fellow co-workers, employees, customers, family and friends.
After 26 years of collegiate coaching at Northern Illinois University, Martin decided to retire and return to her alma mater as an instructor. This fall, she will begin her third year as an instructor in both the Kinesiology & Physical Education and Health Education departments. She has taught a variety of classes, ranging from Contemporary Health Concepts to Psychology of Sport and Exercise. Her coaching experience at the collegiate level has afforded her the opportunity to not only teach physical skill sets, but to also counsel and mentor student-athletes and assistants in their educational choices, fitness and strength development, mental training and time-management skills.
WIM meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month and interested women are invited; RSVP by Monday by e-mail to dekalbcounty@wimonline.org or lori.melville@anbdc.com or call Lori Melville at 815-787-2365.
