Nikki and Matthew Johnson
Nikki Jo Groneweg and Matthew James Johnson, both of Thornton, Colo., were married July 19, 2008, with the wedding and reception at the Botanic Gardens in Denver, Colo.
The daughter of Robert Groneweg of Oberlin, Kan., and Mary Groneweg of Lakewood, Colo., the bride has a doctorate in clinical psychology from Colorado School of Professional Psychology, graduating in 2007. She is a licensed psychologist for Denver Reception & Diagnostic Center for Colorado Department of Corrections and on the adjunct faculty of University of Denver in the Masters and Forensics Psychology Program.
The son of James and Marilyn Johnson of DeKalb, the groom is a 1992 graduate of DeKalb High School and a 2004 graduate of University of Colorado-Denver with a master’s degree in special education. He is a learning specialist at Vantage Point High School, Northglenn, Colo.
Flower girls were Lauren and Isabella Finch, DeKalb, nieces of the groom.
The bride’s personal attendant was Spring Diederich, Oberlin, Kan., friend of the bride; guestbook attendant was Lindsay Johnson Kukla, Naperville, sister of the groom; and gift table attendant was Jacqui Finch, DeKalb, sister of the groom.
The groom’s personal attendant was Chris Carman, Denver, friend of the bride and groom.
Jeff Groneweg, Oberlin, brother of the bride, and Kent Forke, Omaha, Neb., friend of the bride and groom, served as ushers.
The couple’s wedding trip was to San Francisco, Calif.
Lindsay and Michael Kukla
Lindsay Joy Johnson and Michael Gary Kukla, both of Naperville, were married Oct. 3, 2008, with the wedding and reception at The Belvedere, Elk Grove Village.
The daughter of James and Marilyn Johnson of DeKalb, the bride is a 2000 graduate of DeKalb High School and has a licensed practical nurse degree from Kishwaukee College and is employed at Central DuPage Physician’s Group in Wheaton.
The son of Gary and Thea Kukla of Darien, the groom is a 2000 graduate of Hinsdale South High School and a 2005 graduate of Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts in marketing. He is a branch manager for Wells Fargo in Oak Lawn.
Maid of honor was Tracey Welch Miller, Marshfield, Wis., friend of the bride, and Jacquelyn Finch, DeKalb, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor.
Nicole Rissman, DeKalb, Anni Lundgren, Milwaukee, Wis., and Tara Milner Wood, Geneva, all friends of the bride; Christine Ryba, Downers Grove, sister of the groom; Nikki Johnson, Thornton, Colo., sister-in-law of the bride; and Thea Kaczmar, cousin of the groom, were the bridesmaids.
Maidens of honor were Lauren and Isabella Finch, DeKalb, nieces of the bride.
Adriana Stanovich, cousin of the groom, was the flower girl.
Best man was Patrick Tumpane Jr., friend of the groom.
Zach Minor, Jeremy Busch, Michael Rasinski and Jeff Hall, friends of the groom; Matthew Johnson of Thornton Colo., brother of the bride; Daniel Ryba, brother-in-law of the groom; and Samuel Finch of DeKalb, brother-in-law of the bride, were the groomsmen.
Ring bearer was Constantine Stanovich, cousin of the groom.
Sam Stanovich and Alex Kleronomos, cousins of the groom, served as ushers.
The couple’s wedding trip was to Hawaii.
