Sycamore Women’s Club always welcomes new members

Comments (...)

On Sept. 1, Sycamore Woman’s Club began its 102nd club year. Organized in 1908 and incorporated in 1915, the club still stands by its motto: “The Greatest Good to the Greatest Number.”

The afternoon’s speaker, Nancy Hanewell Stacy, author of “SusanM’Gusan, the Girl of my Choosin’,” encouraged everyone to write down childhood memories, promoting the passing down of family stories, which can be healing as well as entertaining and factual for following generations.

Sycamore Women’s Club meets at 1:30 p.m. the first Tuesday each month, September-December and February-May. New members are welcome.

For more information, call Mary at 815-895-5431.
