Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary Club is asking the community to assist in re-stocking the DeKalb and Sycamore food pantries.

Non-perishable food items, including canned and boxed goods, as well as baby items such as diapers and baby food, are needed. Cash donations also can be made by writing a check to Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary.

“Members of our club have expressed a desire to help re-stock the area food pantries during these difficult economic times.” said Matt Ludens, KSR food drive coordinator, in a news release. “We are creating drop off sites at numerous DeKalb, Sycamore, and Genoa businesses to make it easy for individuals to make a donation.”

Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary club members have volunteered their businesses to serve as collection sites and have pledged to supplement the donations to assure that the food drive is a success.

Questions about this event can be directed to Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary Past President William McMahon at 815-519-8073.
