55th annual Women’s Fellowship of First Congregational Church Holiday Fruitcake Sale: Call the church office at 815-758-0691. Cost is $6 for a small fruitcake or $12 for a large fruitcake. Orders can be picked up after noon Friday or before or after worship Sunday.

Good Shepherd Lutheran School Door to the Holiday Craft Fair: 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at 1111 Van St. in Elgin.

54th annual “Holiday Bazaar”:
7:30 a.m.- 2 p.m. Saturday, sponsored by First United Methodist Women of DeKalb at the church at Fourth and Oak streets. The Coffee Shop, open from 7:30-10:30 a.m., offers homemade pastries for early shoppers. Booths with homemade crafts, bake shop and attic treasures will be open from 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. The luncheon, will offer two seatings at 11:15 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.; tickets at the door are an $8 donation.

Creston Booster Club Christmas vendor show:
9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at the Creston Opera House on South Main Street. The kitchen will sell coffee, hot chocolate and doughnuts in the morning and soup and sandwiches after noon.

Ashton-Franklin Center Parent Teacher Club’s second annual Fall Bazaar: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the AFC Elementary School, 217 S. Elm St. in Franklin Grove, which is located on Route 38 between Dixon and Rochelle. Lunch can be purchased at the St. John’s Preschool booth. 27th annual Craft Show: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at the Norway Improvement League Building, near Route 71 in Norway, Ill., which is south of Sheridan. Admission and parking are free. This arts and crafts show will feature original artists and crafters displaying handmade products, including ornaments, quilts, woods, florals and other gift items. St. Paul’s Episcopal Church annual Craft show: 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sunday in the church’s parish hall at , 900 Normal Road in DeKalb. The show is open to the pubic and will feature jewelry and handcrafted items from local artists as well as crafts from around the world. African Team Ministries will have a variety of African crafts for sale; all proceeds will benefit orphans and refugees in East Africa. Contact: 815-756-4888.

21st annual “Wonderful World of Christmas” Craft Show: 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Sunday at Genoa-Kingston High School on Route 72 west in Genoa. More than 75 area crafters and businesses will display items, including oak accent furniture, candles and apparel. Bake sales, food booths and more than 200 grab bag gifts also will be available. From 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Santa will hear special wishes. Admission is $1 for adults and 50 cents for children; more than 75 chances to win door prizes will be available. A 50/50 cash drawing will take place at the end of the show, along with a raffle for a beautiful handmade breast cancer-themed crocheted afghan. This event is sponsored by the Genoa Community Women’s Club, which this year is celebrating its 62nd year as a club, to benefit the G-K High School scholarship fund. Scholarships are awarded each year to deserving G-K graduating high school seniors. Last year, three students were awarded $1,000 each. The club also donates money throughout the year to community and area programs or people in need of help. Greenery Sale deadline: Nov. 10 for Big Rock Boy Scout Troop 19’s sale. Call 815-286-7228 or 815-286-7275 to order fresh balsam items with large red velvet bows, including wreaths in six sizes, 25- or 50-foot-long roping or garland, memorial pots and grave blankets in three sizes, swags, canes and crosses, which will be delivered Thanksgiving weekend.

30th annual Christmas in the Country Arts & Crafts Show: 9 a.m.-4 p .m. Nov. 14 and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 15 at Sandwich High School, Sandwich Middle School and Lynn Haskins Grade School, south of Route 30 on Wells, Lions and Dayton streets, with shuttle service to all schools. One admission, $2, will allow shoppers into all buildings. No strollers or smoking is allowed in any building. St. John’s Lutheran Church Holiday Market: 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 14 at the church, located at 235 S. Green St. in Somonauk. A luncheon will be served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.; donations will benefit Our Sharing Pantry, the food pantry serving Somonauk, Leland and Sandwich, with donations up to $900 matched by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

22nd annual Farm Toy Show: 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 22 at Newark High School, sponsored by the Kendall County Farm Bureau (630-553-7403) and Newark FFA Chapter (815-695-5164). Admission is a $2.

DAWC Holiday Shopping Fair:
6-9 p.m. Dec. 4 and 9-4 p.m. Dec. 5 at 1021 State St., DeKalb. Crafters, artists and home-based business operators can apply for spaces at the DeKalb Area Women’s Center Almost Annual Shopping Fair. Booth size is 8-square-feet and cost is $50 for the two-day fair.
