
KC Foundation is ‘Harvesting Leaders’The Kishwaukee College Foundation will hold its annual Benefit Dinner and Silent Auction Saturday at Altgeld Hall, 595 College Ave. in DeKalb. The annual benefit, “Harvesting Leaders,” raises funds for the Foundation’s scholarship programs. The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres and complimentary photographs. The evening’s program, “A Journey through Kishwaukee College With Some Very Special Guests,” will begin at 7:30 p.m., and will feature Tom Choice, president of Kishwaukee College, and student leaders, past and present. The program will be followed by a gourmet dinner of chicken and steak (alternate entrée options available on request). Musical entertainment will be provided by Tim Lockman, Zachary Harris and the Kish-Wau-Keys Barbershop Quartet. During the cocktail hour, attendees can purchase raffle tickets and bid on silent auction items, including baskets of elegant and enchanting goodies. Items available at this year’s live auction include Bears/Packers tickets with a one-night stay in Chicago, meals, and a Jay Cutler authentic jersey; and a one-week stay in a three-bedroom lakeside cabin at Table Rock Lake, located 15 minutes from Branson, Mo.
