IVVC names October students of the month
Indian Valley Vocational Center in Sandwich recently announced its October list of Students of the Month.
This recognition program spotlights students from 14 programs on site, plus cosmetology, fire science and hospitality management, selected by the program instructors.
The criteria included are qualities such as outstanding professional work, enthusiasm, attendance, initiative and demonstrated work ethic. Students receive a certificate denoting awards received.
The October 2009 IVVC Students of the Month are: John Cavanaugh, Yorkville High School, auto body repair; Randy Knox, Sandwich High School, automotive technology; Andrew Abens, Leland High School, building trades; Tyler Schroeder, Somonauk High School, computer technology; Brittany Eichelberger, Newark High School, cosmetology; Kassandra Jansen, Sandwich High School, culinary arts; Jacob Justus, Sandwich High School, drafting and design; Kayla Simmons, Newark High School, and Jill Tompkins, Indian Creek High School, early childhood development; Andrew Czajka, Sandwich High School, graphic communications; Danielle Chrenko, Sandwich High School, health occupations – CNA; Haley Kelly, Leland High School, health occupations – exploring medical careers; Taylor Anderson, Sandwich High School, hospitality management; Jesse Johnson, Sandwich High School, law enforcement; and Michael Boughton, Yorkville High School, welding and fabrication.
