Somonauk woman dies after LaSalle County crash
DeKALB – A 53-year-old Somonauk woman died Sunday night after a crash in LaSalle County, according to the DeKalb County Coroner's Office.
Marianne Kae died at Valley West Hospital about 40 minutes after police were called to the scene of a single-car crash on East 2351st Road just south of North 4350th Road. The intersection is about halfway between Somonauk and Sheridan.
The coroner's office said Kae died of head injuries; police said she was thrown from the vehicle.
Police and the coroner's office are still investigating the crash; a lieutenant at the LaSalle County Sheriff's Office said more information about the crash would be available after a report is complete.
