FANTASY FOCUS: Update: Patriots score again

By ANDY HAMPTON - sports@daily-chronicle.com

Hold it ... I think the Patriots just scored again.

There are coaches who deserve to have 59 points hung up on them. Jeff Fisher is not one of them.

Speaking of points, did you catch that goal in the Premier League between Sunderland and Liverpool? I'm not a soccer fan, but that was an amazing circumstance.

Here is some more useful information. Care to guess which team has outscored its opponents by a 2-1 margin? That would be the Saints. Want to guess who's been outscored by a 2-1 margin? The answer would be Oakland, Cleveland and Tennessee. St. Louis, which wants to be recognized as someplace special, has been outscored 169-54. Before you reach for your calculators that would be 3.20-1.

Week 6 Report Card:

Starts:

Matt Ryan (QB/ATL):
19 of 33 for 185 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Fairly pedestrian day in a very sloppy game. Overall, the Falcons did just enough to win.

Johnathon Stewart (RB/Car.): 17 carries for 110 yards and one TD. Play both of the Panthers running backs again this week.

Chris Johnson (RB/Ten.):
17 rushes for 128 yards. That's all I will say about the Titans ... although I think the Patriots just scored again.

Sits:

Philip Rivers (QB/SD):
20 of 33 for 274 yards with one TD. He also fumbled three times and lost one of them. Nice first half, but they were handled by the Broncos defense in the second half rather easily.

Brandon Jacobs (RB/NYG): Seven carries for 33 yards. He can whine all he wants, Ahmad Bradshaw is better than him.

Matt Schaub (QB/Hou.): 28 of 40 for 392 yards and four TDs with one pick. Maybe I missed this one just slightly.

Week 7 Starts/Sits:

Starts:

Jay Cutler (QB/Chi.):
At the Bengals. If Schaub can throw for almost 400, surely Cutler is good for 300, right? With Forte continuing to struggle, the Bears are becoming one dimensional.

Donovan McNabb (QB/Phi.):
At Washington on Monday night. The Redskins are a mess and the Eagles better be fired up after losing to the Raiders. Look for wide receivers DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and tight end Brent Celek all to get involved.

Dwayne Bowe (WR/K.C.): At home against the Chargers. The Chiefs are not a very good team. However, Bowe has been their only constant ... for about 3 years.

Sits:

Kurt Warner (QB/Arz.):
At the Meadowlands. Do you think that coach Tom Coughlin will have the Giants ready to play after being leveled by the Saints? The Cardinals still can't run the ball.

Brian Westbrook (RB/Phi.):
This past week in a tight game, your "play-maker" touched the ball a grand total of 15 times. He's banged up, they like LeSean McCoy and Donovan McNabb has the authority to throw whenever he wants to.

Steven Jackson (RB/STL):
Hosting the Colts. The Rams put up 20 points this weekend. They had only scored 34 for the season heading into that game. The Colts, coming off a bye and having given up the second fewest points in the league, does not spell well for Jackson.

Despite only playing five games this season, the Saints still lead the league in points scored.

Two more tidbits about the Patriots-Titans game: First, the Titans racked up an amazing negative seven yards passing. Their quarterbacks completed four passes. Unfortunately, only two went to their teammates.

Finally, the Patriots' halftime lead of 45-0 was the biggest in NFL history.

I think they just scored again.
