CROP Walk held in Somonauk
On Oct. 4, the Community Interfaith CROP Walk was held to raise money for Church World Service and local food pantries.
Approximately 160 walkers received funds from community members and businesses to aid in the battle to end world hunger. This year, the 5-mile walk was held in Somonauk, with St. John’s Lutheran Church hosting the event. The walkers raised more than $21,000; 25 percent of the money will be shared between the Hinckley Area Food Pantry and Our Sharing Pantry in Somonauk.
