T’wolves volleyball sweeps Mooseheart
Indian Creek claimed a 25-16, 25-12 victory against Mooseheart on homecoming on Friday.

Jennifer Westbrook led the Timberwolves (3-10) with six aces and five assists. Karissa Paku had seven assists and Cameron Wallace finished with five digs and five kills.

Karkos wins Kish’s monthly honor
Kishwaukee College volleyball player Jenna Karkos is the school’s student-athlete of the month for September, the Kougars announced Friday.

The 5-foot-11 outside hitter from Hampshire High is the team’s captain and  returns from last year’s national championship team.

Karkos has 132 kills, 51 digs and eight aces this year for the Kougars (9-2).

“She is the backbone of our team, a great leader and a person I know I can count on to get the job done on the floor and in the classroom,” Kougars coach Ron Sweet said. “We are proud to have student-athletes of Jenna’s caliber to represent Kishwaukee  College and be a great ambassador for our college and athletic programs,” athletic director Karen Wiley said.
