DeKalb County Hospice thanks communityTo the editor: DeKalb County Hospice would like to thank the contributors to our 22nd annual “Bed and Breakfast Sweepstakes.” The grand prize was a night at the Fargo Mansion Inn in Lake Mills, Wis. Additional prizes were donated by local individuals and businesses: Ken and Kathy Spears, four tickets to one Chicago Bears football game; Nacola Crooke, Longaberger “Horizon of Hope Basket;” Pizza Villa; Midwest Museum of Natural History; Shawn’s Soups, Sandwiches, Sweets; and Culver’s. We would also like to thank all those who so generously supported us by entering our sweepstakes. More than $5,000 was raised. We are able to provide our service to this community because of the continued generosity of individuals, families, businesses and organizations who have believed in our mission and have supported our efforts financially. Because of you we are able to: Provide hospice services to terminally ill individuals and their families; provide bereavement support for individuals with visits, phone contacts, newsletters and special mailings; provide grief support groups throughout the county; and provide community education programs on hospice caring. Your support has made all of this possible. On behalf of our patients and their loved ones, we say thank you. Executive Director DeKalb County Hospice |
