Burdick new SHS golf coach

David Burdick is the new golf coach at Sycamore.

Burdick, a PGA Professional at the Sycamore Golf Club, replaces Andrew Stacy, who will return to the basketball program as an assistant coach after a two year hiatus.

Stacy also had to step down from golf because of the increased responsibilities that are a result of switching from Physical Education teacher to Technology Coordinator.

Stacy was a varsity basketball assistant for a season before leading the Spartans’ sophomore basketball program for seven years.

“I have all the confidence in the world in David,” Stacy said. “He was a volunteer coach for us and the players are already familiar with him which will make for a smooth transition.”
