Daily fee for the Mom’s Time Out Program, a three day a week day care program, is $8 per day for Sycamore Park District residents or $10 per day for nonresidents. DeKalb County Youth Service Bureau  Active Parenting of Teens class: 6-8 p.m. six Wednesdays, beginning June 24, at DeKalb County Youth Service Bureau at 330 Grove St. in DeKalb. Cost is $50 per family for one textbook and attendance at all six sessions. Local parents of young people ages 11-18, who feel their teens misbehave and are out of control can enroll. Master Gardeners plant drop off: DeKalb County Master Gardeners need the public’s help to prepare for its July 11 Gardenwalk and Plant Sale. Anyone dividing plants in his or her yard can donate plants to the sale. July 3-10, plants can be delivered between 9 a.m. to noon weekdays to the DeKalb County Farm Bureau, 1350 W. Aurora Sportsmen’s Club opening: July 4 in Waterman. The opening ceremonies include presentation of the Colors by the Waterman Boy Scout Troop, a prayer of dedication and a ribbon cutting. Attendees will include Mayor Thomas Ekle and members of the Waterman Police Department. Following the ceremonies, the ranges will be open to the public for target shooting. The facilities include trap and skeet fields, archery ranges and rifle/pistol ranges. Currently the club has more than 1,200 members and is actively seeking new members to join. Main St. Local teacher and author Tom Oestreicher’s program, part of  the museum’s Sycamore 101 series, will center on 105th Illinois Volunteer Infantry Regiment of the Sycamore-DeKalb area. General William T. Sherman’s favorite unit, it spearheaded his March to the Sea. Fee is $5.

FVOAS travelers will visit Tommy Gun’s Garage in Chicago, which has thugs, dames, hooch and a great musical comedy review. Kishwaukee Valley Heritage Museum: 2-4 p.m. the second Sunday of each month  and by appointment at 622 Park Ave. in Genoa. Until July 15, the museum has on display a private collection of 75 pieces of Akro Agate ware, made between 1911 and 1951 in Akron, Ohio. The company took over the doll dish market during World War II when Japanese exports were unavailable. Much of the company’s line included colorful flowerpots, cosmetic containers and other glass items. Contact: 815-784-5559, for appointments other days.
