To the editor:

Love INC of DeKalb/Sycamore, a new Christian organization in the community, would like to thank all who helped make our first fundraiser a great success!

We held our first annual pork chop barbecue on June 16, and wish to thank Whitman’s Catering for their hard work, efficiency and wonderful product.

Thanks also to the Evangelical Free Church of Sycamore-DeKalb for the generosity of providing their church and site for the fundraiser.

In addition, we would like to thank all the volunteer workers who gave their time and energy for the night of the event.  We appreciate your dedication to this ministry and organization.

Thanks as well to Aldi’s, Wal-Mart, Culligan’s for pop and water and American Liquors, Rosita’s and Casey’s in Cortland for providing ice.

We are grateful for our 30 partner churches in our community that helped support the event by selling tickets. Without these efforts we would not have been able to achieve our success.

Love INC of DeKalb/Sycamore would like to invite the community to visit our site at 151 W. Lincoln Highway, DeKalb, for our open house celebration from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, or 2-4 p.m. Sunday. Come and learn more about this exciting organization and see how Love INC will impact the community.
