LOCAL BRIEF: MAC announced TV schedule for football

The Mid-American Conference announced its television schedule for the upcoming season today, and Northern Illinois is on it in a few places.

NIU's game at Purdue will be at 11 a.m. on Sept. 19 and will be televised on the Big Ten Network. Also, NIU's home game against Akron will be at 11 a.m. on Oct. 31 and will be televised on ESPN Plus/GamePlan. When the Huskies travel to play Central Michigan on Friday, Nov. 27, it will either be at 11 a.m. on ESPNU or at a time to be determined on ESPN360.com, as it is a part of a multiple selection date for ESPN.

NIU also has a previously announced 6 p.m. game on Sept. 5 against Wisconsin on the Big Ten Network and a home game against Eastern Michigan on Thursday Nov. 5 might be selected for ESPNU, with a start time of 6:30 p.m. The Huskies' home game against Ball State on Thursday, Nov. 12, also might be selected for ESPNU, with a start time of 5 p.m.
