
MILESTONESANNIVERSARIES 50th anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Keith and Shirley Grunden of Sycamore are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2-4 p.m. Aug. 1 at the Lutheran Church of St. John, 26555 Brickville Road in Sycamore. Shirley Waechter and Keith Grunden were married June 27, 1959 at Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church in Quincy. The couple have four children, Kent (Mary) Grunden of Lake Zurich, Karen (Brad) Perry of Naperville, Kathy (Bill) Adams of Tinley Park and Kristine (Nathan) MCKinney of Texas. They also have nine grandchildren. Jim and Becky McCabe of DeKalb are celebrating their 40th anniversary this month. The two were married June 12, 1969. The couple have two children, Terrence McCabe of Stockbridge, Ga., and Amanda (Emilio Auiles) McCabe of DeKalb. They also have two grandchildren, Laura and Jose. Heather Ashley Hart and Jerritt Lee Tuestad, both of Shabbona, are engaged to be married Sept. 12 at First Lutheran Church in DeKalb. Hart is the daughter of Charles and Karen Hart of Shabbona. She graduated from Indian Creek High School in 2003 and from Kishwaukee College in 2005 with an associate’s degree in applied science/nursing. She currently works at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. Tuestad is the son of Leon and Julie Tuestad of Shabbona. He also graduated from Indian Creek High School in 2003. He graduated from WyoTech in 2004 with an associate’s degree in diesel/automotive technology. He currently works at West-Side Tractor Sales in Naperville as a heavy equipment service technician. |
