By Daily Chronicle

The Boy Scouts of America Three Fires Council has selected 10 volunteers, including three from DeKalb County, to receive the council's highest recognition, according to a news release.

Mike Fugate of Sycamore, Madonna Prain of Sycamore and Regina Scoughton of Sandwich will all receive the Silver Beaver Award for Distinguished Service to youth at an award dinner June 18 in Lisle. The award is the highest honor a council can present to an adult volunteer. In 2008, there were 7,771 registered adult volunteers with the council, according to the release. The Three Fires Council includes DeKalb, DuPage, Kane, Kendall and parts of Will and Cook counties.
