Soybean association seeks young growers to be soy ambassadors

The Illinois Soybean Association is accepting applications for its Soy Ambassadors Leadership Program, according to an association news release. The two-year program is designed to give young producers expertise, industry exposure and global perspective.

Participants will spend two weeks learning about local farming, politics and culture in Mato Grosso, Brazil, and will learn about challenges and issues facing the soybean industry, according to the news release.

The program will start in June and is limited to 10 participants, according to the news release. Growers must be at least 21 years old. Applications can be completed online at www.ilsoy.org/recent_news/collateral/Soy_Ambassadors_Brochure.pdf. Applications are due by May 8.
