Several youth clubs, represented by more than 35 members, joined recently with their sponsoring Kiwanis Club of DeKalb for “Kii Bowling,” aka bowling on the Nintendo Wii video game system.

The activity paired youths and adults in teams that competed for the highest score. Each service leadership club was placed in a special drawing for a gift certificate of $20 to Mardi Gras Lanes in DeKalb and was encouraged to “play the real thing” at the bowling alley. The top scores for the night were posted by the “Pink Ladies” with 492 and “The Strikers” with 482.

The evening also included a toss football game, as well as other prizes and candy.

The service leadership clubs sponsored by the DeKalb Kiwanis offer opportunities to perform community service and develop leadership skills by reaching out to those who need help. These experiences help develop leadership skills by reaching out to those who need help, as described in a recent news release.
