Editor,
On February 7, Blumen Gardens of Sycamore was blossoming with the sounds of great jazz and classical music, and the Sycamore Music Booster inaugural gala, “A Note to Remember” was a huge success!  Nearly 175 guests attended this great community night of music, delicious treats, beverages and a silent auction and raffle.  Thank you to all who came out to support our fabulous performers that evening, and please watch for the date to mark your calendars for the 2nd Annual “Note to Remember” in 2010.
Thank you to our performers who generously donated their time and talent to make the night so special:  Black Tie Jazz Trio, Northern Illinois University Jazz Combo, Lil Phat Band, SHS Jazz Ensemble, SHS string quartet, and members of our music faculty.
A very special thank you goes out to the outstanding NTR committee, parent bakers, and all who contributed in any way to help make the night a success.   Many of our local businesses financially sponsored this event as well as contributed to our raffle and silent auction.  Please help us thank them through your patronage.  They are:  Austin’s Music, Castle Bank, Gia DaVini of Chocolate Shivers,  DeKalb Mechanical, Victoria Shipman of Essentials by House of Interior,  Illinois Community Credit Union, Midwest Orthopedic, Northern Rehabilitation, Prairieview Animal Hospital, Shawn’s Coffee Shop, Jesus Romero of Taxco Restaurant,  Wendy Tritt of Trittenhaus Design,  A Groomery, The National Bank and Trust Company, Scott and Kristine Mertens, Thompson Industries, Inc., Wal-Mart, Curves, Dr. Todd Curtis, DDS, D&D Jewelers, Fat Boyz Pub & Grill, Gavin Wilson of Country Insurance, Jewel of Sycamore, Jeff & Linda Koehling of First Centennial Mortgage, Law Offices of Amato and Sheen, Midwest Museum of Natural History, Poc’s Music, Randee’s Music, Rockford, IL, Ryan Genz of Edward Jones, Sycamore Family Sports Center, Bakers Square Restaurant, Barnes and Noble, Buffalo Wild Wings Restaurant, Cabana Charley’s Restaurant, Caribou Coffee, Country Inn and Suites, Culver’s, Dairy Queen, Diane Olsen, Eduardo’s Restaurant, Egg Haven Pancakes and Café, Fat Boyz Pub and Grill, Scott and Lori Grant,  Hillside Restaurant, Kar-Fre Flowers, Ken Tonaki, Kishwaukee Symphony, Lane & Virginia McMillion, LePrint Express, McDonald’s of Sycamore, Mardi Gras Bowling, Nat’s on Maple, Panera Bread, Papa Murphy’s Pizza, PJ’s Courthouse Tavern and Grille, Quinlin and Fabish, Roger’s Music, Ruby Tuesdays Restaurant, Steve Elsik’s Fudge, Starbucks Coffee, Stratford Inn of Sycamore, Sycamore Park District, Sycamore Parkway Restaurant, Sycamore Theatre, Vogel Family and Friends.
