
DeKalb CityTuesday Possession of marijuana — Police said a vehicle was pulled over about 12:45 p.m. in the 800 block of North Annie Glidden Road after the driver was seen not wearing a seat belt. The vehicle smelled of marijuana smoke, and a bag of marijuana was found during a search, police said. Ryan A. Jackson, 19, of DeKalb was charged with possession of marijuana and driving without wearing a seat belt. Driving without a valid license — Police said officers assisted a driver whose vehicle stalled about 5:35 p.m. in the 1000 block of Sycamore Road. Victor H. Abuelle, 36, of DeKalb was charged with driving without a valid license. Wednesday Driving with a suspended license — Police said a vehicle was pulled over about 7:35 a.m. in the 1700 block of Sycamore Road for speeding. The vehicle’s registration was expired and the insurance card provided by the driver was invalid, police said. Tremaine S. Bowers, 24, of DeKalb was charged with driving with a suspended license, speeding, driving with expired registration, using a false insurance card, driving an uninsured vehicle and illegal use of a driver’s license. Driving with a suspended license — Police said a vehicle was pulled over about 12:10 p.m. in the 800 block of West Lincoln Highway when the driver was seen not wearing a seat belt. The driver gave officers an invalid insurance card, police said. Monique T. Bramlett, 22, of DeKalb was charged with driving with a suspended license, driving an uninsured vehicle, driving with suspended registration and using a false insurance card. Retail theft — Police said officers were called about 1:40 p.m. to Kohl’s, 2070 Sycamore Road, about a man caught leaving the store without paying for items. Robert P. Gough, 18, of DeKalb was charged with retail theft. Disorderly conduct — Police said officers were called about 10:25 p.m. from the 200 block of East Lincoln Highway about a man who reportedly had been harassing another man throughout the day. The caller told officers a man had been continuously taunting him and bothering him throughout the day, despite repeated requests to leave him alone, police said. Yoviel T. Gabre, 23, a transient was charged with disorderly conduct. |
