Alaskan field complete The Great Alaskan Shootout men's basketball tournament field is set. Northern Illinois is a part of the field and will be joined by: Hampton, Louisiana Tech, Portland State, San Diego State, Seattle University, Western Carolina and host UAA. The Shootout runs Nov. 25-29 at Sullivan Arena. Portland State won the Big Sky Conference and advanced to the NCAA Tournament last season after posting a 23-10 record. Portland State lost to eventual national champion Kansas in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. San Diego State is considered one of the favorites to win to Mountain West Conference and Hampton is coming off an 18-12 season last year.
