Police say man waved AK-47 at turkey farm

A Rochelle man was arrested around 1:15 p.m. Monday after he reportedly waved an unloaded assault rifle at people at a farm in Waterman. Gebahet Busta-mante, 45, was arrested by Rochelle Police on Monday afternoon after the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office alerted other law enforcement agencies about him after he reportedly brandished an AK-47 assault rifle. He did not make verbal threats to people but waved the gun around, DeKalb County Sheriff Roger Scott said Tuesday morning. Bustamante, an employee at the Ho-Ka Turkey Farm, 8519 Leland Road, reportedly showed up for work intoxicated, and was asked to leave.
