DeKALB - The men of Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity dodged raindrops on March 31 to assist the Caps4Sam local charitable endeavor to raise awareness and funding for pediatric brain tumor research at Chicago Children's Memorial Hospital. The group of Northern Illinois University students distributed information about the charity and provided race registration forms for the upcoming &#8220Walk4Wisdom/ Run4Research” event at Hopkins Park on May 6. Thanks to the area businesses, which allowed the volunteers to collect donations, and to the generosity of the DeKalb community, the amount raised was $493.64 - all of which will be given to the hospital. Check the Web site caps4sam. com for race details and new caps.
