Nursing student visits First United Preschool

DeKALB - First United Preschool and Daycare children enjoyed their visit with college student Jimmy Schweitzer during his Christmas break. Schweitzer is a nursing student at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. The children learned how to keep their hearts healthy, and Schweitzer also showed them how to take their blood pressure and use a stethoscope. First United Preschool and Daycare is a mission of First United Methodist Church. Children enjoy numerous activities each day, and each room has several different interest centers.
