‘Path to 9/11' is outrage

Jennifer Tomkins Editor: I am extremely concerned about the forthcoming "Path to 9/11” movie to be shown by ABC/Disney tomorrow. I understand that though this movie is highly critical of the Clinton administration and that, though President Clinton was denied a preview of the work, such a preview was granted to Bush administration allies. This alone is suspect. But far more suspect is that it is being shown without commercials and that President Bush is to give an address during the second half of the show. This, to me looks like political bias and a potential violation of campaign financing laws. As such, it is in the tradition of this administration's continued illegal efforts to control public debate, which they have done in the past by planting White House produced &#8220news videos” distributed to the media without attribution and also by paying journalists to present the administration case for Social Security reform, again without attribution. I find this a very troubling attempt to skew public debate before an election. Jennifer Tomkins Sycamore
