Pay-It-Forward House to celebrate first birthday

SYCAMORE - Pay-It-Forward House invites everyone to come to its First-Year Birthday Celebration from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Sunday at 719 Somonauk St. The hospitality house, which is adjacent to Kindred Hospital, opened in late March 2005. It has provided daytime respite and overnight accommodations in a homelike environment to more than 125 people related to patients receiving medical treatment at Kindred. The birthday celebration will be a traditional high tea, with homemade scones, tea sandwiches, freshly steeped tea in china cups, and a birthday cake.
