History Club wins at state

KIRKLAND - The Hiawatha History Club followed Julius Caesar's motto of "Veni, Vidi, Vici... I came, I saw, I conquered" at the Illinois History Expo in Springfield on May 11. Eleven Hiawatha students brought home superior ribbons for their projects. Students who earned superior ratings were: Research papers: Annie Woodward, Chris Paulsen Media/Computers: Wes Evenson, Allen Mowers, Ryan Peterson, David Willit and Joe Mlyniec Performance: Alice Frankowski Exhibits: Chris Paulsen, Lindsey Morris and Jennifer Novelli "We are very proud of our students that competed in the History Fair," said Ty Wolf, Hiawatha High School principal.
