Ex-Sycamore woman is contestant in Mrs. Illinois pageant

ELGIN - Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who's the fairest Illinois wife of all? The answer will be determined on May 1 when a new Mrs. Illinois/America is crowned at the Hemmens Theatre of Performing Arts. Mrs. Danielle Miller, a resident of Plano and formerly of Sycamore, is a contestant in the upcoming Mrs. Illinois/America Pageant. She is sponsored by RE/MAX Gold, Dorothy Hitzeroth and Nancy Marshall, Sycamore; D. Moore Construction, Crystal Lake; The Big Easy Bar & Grill, Yorkville; Wal-Mart Supercenter, Plano; and Jewel-Osco, Yorkville. Danielle Miller is the husband of Brian Miller and the mother of Annabelle and Andrew. A panel of judges composed of entertainment, community and business leaders will select the next Mrs. Illinois/America, who succeeds Marie Harrison, the reigning queen from Oakwood. The pageant will be held April 30 and May 1. Contestants will participate in three competitions - swimsuit, evening gown and personal interviews. If Miller wins the pageant, she will be awarded more than $15,000 in prizes, including a trip to the national pageant, at which she will compete for the title of Mrs. America.
