Two men charged in 'random' shooting

DeKALB - Two Chicago men have been arrested in connection with an early Wednesday morning shooting at the University Village apartment complex. Marcus J. Marshall, 20, and Charles Hood III, 20, were taken into custody around 10:30 a.m. Wednes-day on Ruby Lane. They and a third person in a red Ford reportedly had been seen leaving the scene of the shooting about nine hours earlier. Marshall is charged with attempted armed robbery and aggravated battery with a firearm. Hood is charged with aggravated battery. Nothing was stolen in the incident. DeKalb Police Sgt.
