Two charged with credit card fraud
DeKALB - Warrants were issued Friday for two Northern Illinois University students who DeKalb police say charged about $1,500 on a credit card they illegally obtained using another NIU student's personal information.
Joseph . Pomaranski, 19, and Antonio M. Tribble, 21, were being sought on charges of unlawful use of a credit card. Pomaranski also faces charges of making a false statement to get a credit card, financial identity theft and two counts of forgery.
Police say the two used the card to buy clothes, electronics, food and other items between Feb. 22 and Sunday. The victim in the case reported it to police a little less than a week ago after credit card statements relating to the purchases appeared at a relative's home.
