DeKALB – Caregivers often bear the load of whomever they're tasked to look after and put their own stress and worries on the back burner.
To combat growing worries among caregivers in the county, The Family Service Agency of DeKalb County is partnering with Heartland Hospice to offer a caregivers conference set for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, at the agency's facility, 1325 Sycamore Road. The discussion will include ways to cope with the responsibilities.
The caregiver support conference will include a presentation by Heartland Hospice's Bereavement Coordinator Ambre Bethoux, according to a news release.
The event is met to provide an outlet for caregivers to talk, share and receive support and focused on the stressors associated with caring for someone while discussing coping skills to take back home.
To register, contact Diana King from the agency at 815-758-8616.
